Not your average foster care agency…
With over 179 total years combined experience in and around the foster care system – from being a foster sibling to foster parent to case worker and everything in between – we have seen the good and bad. And that experience is why we have built New Mercy Outreach differently.
What do we mean bydifferently?
It’s meeting all of the needs of the child but also the needs of the family.
That’s why we provide things like:
24/7 crisis line for those moments when you don’t know what to do
Clothing closet
On staff Community Health Workers
Engaged network of NMO foster care families that encourage and support one another
Transportation assistance
Our Approach to Foster Care
Train
We walk step-in-step with our foster families through the application and training process, providing guidance, support, and encouragement along the way.
Place
We are purposeful in our placements to pair kids and families that are the best fit for success.
Support
Our foster families are never alone. Whether you have a question, need help, or just some plain encouragement – we will always answer the phone.
Our goal is seeing families reunited. And until that can happen, it’s our mission to show each child in our care mercy, hope, and love.
How You Can GetInvolved
Become a Foster Parent
It doesn’t matter what walk of life you’re from… if you have room in your heart and home for a child to know love, you can be a foster parent!
Donate
Not everyone is able to foster, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still help change lives. Financial donations allow us to provide more support services to our foster families as well as emancipated children who have aged out of the foster care system but still need help.

Volunteer
It takes a village to raise children, and that’s never even more true in the foster community. You can volunteer to help with our clothing closet, provide meals for families, coordinate events and more.
